{"id":8,"date":"2012-08-13T15:57:26","date_gmt":"2012-08-13T13:57:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/landgasthof-taennler.ch\/?page_id=8"},"modified":"2013-10-26T17:46:03","modified_gmt":"2013-10-26T15:46:03","slug":"geschichte","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/landgasthof-taennler.ch\/en\/geschichte\/","title":{"rendered":"History"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p>Our lovely house was built in 1633 by our ancestors Drini Hugler (today Huggler) and Heini Thendler (today T\u00e4nnler).<\/p>\n<p><strong>The inscription:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>THIS HOUSE STANDS ON GOOD GROUND<br \/>\nGOD GIVE THE INHABITANTS GOOD LUCK AND HEALTH<br \/>\nSO THAT THEIR LIVES ON EARTH AND THEREAFTER BE BLESSED<\/p>\n<p>While the house\u2019s date of construction is very impressive, even more so is the fact that, during construction of a cool room in 1964, old walls were found. The archaeologist from Bern confirmed that the walls were once part of a <strong>Roman building<\/strong> \u2013 probably a hermitage. Remants of vases and many other objects were found and the archaeologists also discovered ducts for heating and roman baths.<\/p>\n<p>Our Grandfather, Alexander T\u00e4nnler, made a name for himself as he, together with climbing colleagues Kaspar Maurer, Heinrich Zurfl\u00fch and their guest Hugo Mylius were successful in the first <strong>winter ascent of the Mt. Blanc<\/strong> on Febrary 25th, 1904.
